I realised how to harness my engineering mindset for a more flexible creative process during this project. At first, the uncertainty of design work was intimidating, as my instinct was to seek clear guidance. However, by engaging in structured brainstorming techniques and mind mapping, I discovered that uncertainty can lead to innovative solutions when approached thoughtfully.

I also expanded my limits by tackling the game's visual elements: creating the digital interface, menus, and playing cards. Prior to this project, graphic design felt quite daunting, but I built my confidence through practical experience. I take pride in the aesthetic and usability that resulted from iterative prototyping and regular peer critique. Taking on a leadership and organisational role within our team presented new challenges for me. While I’ve always been outspoken, I learned the significance of allowing quieter voices to be heard. Receiving direct feedback on my leadership style prompted me to adopt a more balanced approach that prioritises both direction and active listening. This experience emphasised the importance of constructive communication and fostering an inclusive environment. Above all, I emerged with a revitalised passion for user experience and a keen interest in further exploring Technology & Realisation. This project reinforced that design transcends mere visuals or functionality; it’s about crafting impactful experiences, and I’m committed to continually honing these skills in the future.
